Knightmare was formed in late 2005 with Mick and Luke. After a few meetings and some song ideas, they realised they were on the same page musically and went about recruiting a full line-up to get the ideas out of their heads and onto stage.

In early 2007 Knightmare began their first rehearsals and made their live debut that August. Shows continued that year until December when they begin to work on their first release, the Unholy EP. Being pieced together in Luke’s studio, it was then sent to mixing, mastering and pressing at Systematic Studios. The EP was launched and was well-received both locally and internationally in February 2008, receiving several positive reviews.

Shortly afterwards, tensions arose over the direction of the band which eventually left Luke and Mick in search of new band mates as the other members moved on. Not deterred by this they began work on a new full-length album as a follow up to Unholy and at the same time recruiting new members. That album is entitled ‘In Death’s Shadow’ and the whole band eagerly await its release.

With a new line-up and a new album nearly ready for release, Knightmare plans to create an intense soundscape and live show that will excite audiences internationally!
